Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-25
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the SteadyCron platform. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Parties & Definitions
"Provider" means SteadyCron - Owner: Daniel Möß, registered at Haubourdinstr. 36, 52428 Jülich, Germany, managed by Daniel Möß. Governing-law jurisdiction: the Federal Republic of Germany.
"User" (or "you") means the individual or legal entity that has accepted these Terms and created an account.
"Service" means the SteadyCron platform, including the web dashboard
(accessible at app.steadycron.com), the HTTP job executor, the heartbeat
monitoring service, the CLI, and any related APIs operated by the Provider.
"Paddle" means Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates, the Merchant of Record for all paid subscriptions (see § 5).
2. The Service
SteadyCron provides two core capabilities:
- HTTP Job Execution. The Service periodically sends HTTP requests to endpoints you configure ("jobs"), records the response, applies retry and timeout policies, and notifies you of failures.
- Heartbeat Monitoring. The Service watches for periodic pings from your own processes at unique URLs you configure ("heartbeat monitors") and alerts you when a ping is overdue.
Feature availability depends on your subscription plan as described on the pricing page.
3. Account Terms
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties without their knowledge.
- You must notify us immediately at support@steadycron.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to:
- Send HTTP requests to targets you do not own or do not have explicit written permission to test — including scanning, probing, denial-of-service, or any form of attack against third-party infrastructure.
- Transmit malware, spyware, or any content designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to systems.
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, including export control, data protection, or anti-spam laws.
- Abuse the executor as an anonymisation relay or to conceal the origin of requests.
- Circumvent rate limits, abuse free-tier resources, or attempt to interfere with other customers' workloads.
The Provider reserves the right to suspend accounts immediately if activity consistent with the above is detected, without prior notice.
5. Plans, Fees & Billing
5.1 Plans and prices
Current plan details and prices are published at steadycron.com/pricing. Prices are in EUR and inclusive of applicable VAT where Paddle is required to collect it.
5.2 Paddle as Merchant of Record
All paid subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Paddle is the legal seller of record for your subscription; the Provider is the software service provider. When you subscribe:
- Your payment contract is with Paddle, governed by Paddle's buyer terms .
- Paddle appears on your bank or card statement.
- Paddle issues VAT-compliant invoices and handles applicable taxes.
- Refund and cancellation requests are handled via Paddle; see the Refund Policy at /refunds.
5.3 Subscription renewal and changes
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel or change your plan at any time via the in-app billing portal. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Upgrades are effective immediately and prorated.
5.4 Free plan
The Free plan has no monetary charge. The Provider reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Free plan with 30 days' notice to registered users.
6. Service Availability & Warranty Disclaimer
The Provider will make reasonable efforts to keep the Service operational. However, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
At the current MVP stage the Service runs on a single-VM architecture. The Provider does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or 100% available operation. Scheduled maintenance, deployments, or infrastructure incidents may cause downtime.
The Service is not certified for life-critical, safety-critical, or regulated-infrastructure use cases where failure could result in loss of life or significant harm.
7. Limitation of Liability & Indemnity
The Provider is liable without limitation for damages caused intently (Vorsatz) or by gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit) by the Provider, its employees, or agents, as well as for fraudulent concealment of defects, claims under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz), and for injury to life, body, or health.
For mild or ordinary negligence (einfache Fahrlässigkeit), the Provider is only liable if it breaches a material contractual obligation (Kardinalpflicht)—an obligation whose fulfillment is essential for the proper execution of the contract and on whose compliance the User regularly relies. In this case, the Provider's liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage at the time of contract conclusion.
To the extent permitted by law, the Provider's total liability for foreseeable damages under Section 7.2 shall not exceed the total amount paid by the User to Paddle for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or €100, whichever is greater. Liability for all other indirect or consequential damages is excluded.
8. Suspension & Termination
The Provider may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:
- You materially breach these Terms and fail to remedy the breach within 7 days of written notice (or immediately for acceptable-use violations);
- Required by law or a court order;
- Continued operation poses risk to the security or availability of the Service for other users.
You may terminate your account at any time from the account settings. On termination your data will be retained for 30 days then deleted, unless a longer period is required by law.
9. Governing Law & Changes to These Terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If the User is a business, a legal entity under public law, or a solo professional (Unternehmer according to § 14 BGB), the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract shall be Aachen, Germany.
The Provider may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email to the address on your account at least 14 days before taking effect. The changes will be deemed accepted unless the User objects in writing (via email) within 14 days of receiving the notification. If the User objects, the Provider reserves the right to terminate the contractual relationship at the end of the current billing period.
