Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-25
This policy describes how cancellations and refunds work for SteadyCron subscriptions. Because Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all paid plans, Paddle is the legal seller who processes and issues refunds. This page explains our policy; Paddle's buyer terms govern the actual transaction.
1. Cancellation
1.1 How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time from inside the SteadyCron dashboard:
- Go to Settings → Billing → Manage subscription.
- Click "Cancel subscription" in the Paddle-hosted billing portal.
- Follow the on-screen confirmation steps.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access to your plan's features until that date.
1.2 What happens to your data on cancellation
When your subscription ends, your account is downgraded to the Free plan automatically. Jobs and monitors that exceed the Free plan's limits are paused, not deleted. Your configuration is preserved; you can re-activate by upgrading. Your execution logs are retained per the plan window that was active when they were created (Free: count only; paid: per your previous plan).
You may delete your account at any time from account settings, which will erase your personal data subject to legal retention obligations (see the Privacy Policy).
2. Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the billing period has commenced, as services are provisioned immediately upon payment. Paddle processes all approved refunds as our Merchant of Record.
- Monthly subscriptions: Monthly fees are non-refundable once charged at the start of the billing cycle.
- Annual subscriptions: Fees are non-refundable after the cycle begins, except as outlined in the renewal exception window (see § 4).
- Duplicate charges or billing errors: Contact us immediately at support@steadycron.com; we will investigate and arrange a full refund via Paddle if a billing or processing error is confirmed.
3. EU Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)
If you subscribe to SteadyCron as an EU consumer (Verbraucher under § 13 BGB), you generally have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from online contracts without giving a reason.
Important Exception for Digital Content and Services: By purchasing a subscription and immediately accessing the SteadyCron platform, you expressly request and consent to the immediate commencement of the service before the expiry of the statutory withdrawal period. You explicitly acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the digital service execution has begun.
Consequently, monthly and annual fees are non-refundable once the service is provisioned to your account. If you are using the service for professional or commercial purposes (Unternehmer under § 14 BGB), the statutory consumer right of withdrawal does not apply.
4. Annual Subscriptions
Annual plans are discounted compared to monthly billing. When you cancel an annual subscription, the cancellation stops auto-renewal for the following year.
Access continues until the end of your current annual billing period, and no further charges will be made. Except as provided in Section 3 (EU Right of Withdrawal) or in the case of a confirmed billing error, fees paid for annual subscriptions are non-refundable.
Accidental Renewal Exception: If your annual subscription auto-renews and you did not intend to keep it, contact us at support@steadycron.com within 7 days of the renewal charge. If you have not used the service during those days (i.e., no job executions or heartbeat alerts triggered), we will request a full refund from Paddle on your behalf.
5. Paddle as Merchant of Record
Refunds are issued by Paddle, who is the legal seller of record for your subscription. To request a refund:
- Contact us first at support@steadycron.com — we will confirm eligibility and initiate the refund request with Paddle on your behalf.
- Alternatively, you may contact Paddle buyer support directly, referencing your subscription or order ID.
Once approved, refunds are returned to the original payment method. Timing depends on your bank or card issuer (typically 5–10 business days).
